Shah Rukh Khan (born November 2, 1965), also known as SRK or the "King of Bollywood", is an Indian actor and film producer. He has appeared in more than 90 films and has earned numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare Awards. Khan has been described as one of the most successful film stars in the world.

Early Life

Shah Rukh Khan was born in New Delhi to Mir Taj Mohammed Khan and Lateef Fatima. His father was a freedom fighter and entrepreneur, while his mother was a magistrate. He graduated with a degree in Economics from Hansraj College and later pursued a Master's in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia.

Career

Television (1988–1991)

Khan's career began with television serials like Fauji (1988) and Circus (1989), which earned him recognition and a fanbase.

Bollywood Breakthrough

His Bollywood debut came with Deewana (1992). He gained fame for portraying villainous roles in Darr (1993) and Baazigar (1993). His romantic roles in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) established him as the "King of Romance" in Bollywood.

Recent Success

After a brief hiatus, Khan made a triumphant return with Pathaan (2023) and Jawan (2023), both of which became among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
